Heart diagnosis: coarctation of the aorta and bicuspid valve

 

Parker never ceases to amaze any of us! Since his last surgery at age 2, Parker has become quite the athlete. He eats, sleeps and breathes hockey. Parker loves going to the cabin, school, soccer, lego, riding his bike, quading, video games  and hockey! One of his proudest accomplishments was completing the 5k super run at the Manitoba Marathon in September!

 

Age: 6 1/2 years old

Heart diagnozos: pulmonary atresia with IVS. 

 

It’s interesting, besides the daily does of Aspirin we sometimes forget about Addison’s heart condition! Since her Fontan Surgery at age 3, her oxygen sits around 97%! When she was 2 months old, we saw numbers in the 60’s. Addison loves to be busy. she likes to run errands, go camping, spend time with her family, horseback riding, skating and gymnastics. We are so thankful for her Cardiology Team here in Winnipeg for giving her the life that she lives today!
